Our background
Over 20 years on the floor
ShadowSKU was founded by two cannabis retail operators with combined experience managing licensed dispensaries in Nevada. We have handled inventory, trained staff, worked compliance audits, and dealt with the same backstock problems our clients bring to us.
We started this because the tools available to independent dispensaries were either too expensive, too complicated, or built for chains with dedicated inventory teams. Most operators we know are managing inventory on instinct and a spreadsheet, if they are managing it at all.
The process we use came out of what we actually did on the floor: pull the export, find the gaps, build a list the staff could work. We formalized it, made it repeatable, and made it available remotely so we can work with stores we are not physically in.
How we work
Remote-first, operator-to-operator
No system access
We work only from the export file you send. We do not log into your POS, your Metrc account, or any other system. Your credentials stay yours.
No vendor relationships
We take no compensation from brands, vendors, or distributors. Our recommendations are based on your data, not on who is paying us.
Plain language
We do not use jargon or produce reports that require a consultant to interpret. The action list is written for the person working the floor, not for a boardroom presentation.
Honest about limits
We do not measure shrink or theft. We do not provide compliance or legal advice. We do not guarantee results. We tell you what we see in the data and what we think you should do about it.
